Objective To investigate acoustic stapcdial rcficx(AR) using 226 and 1 000 Hz probe tones in newborns who passed hearing screening and its value in neonatal audioiogical evaluation and diagnosis. Methods The acoustic immittancc test were conducted using 226 Hz and 1 000 Hz probe tones in 174 newborns between 2 and 7 days with both cars passed the distortion product otoacoustic cmission(DPOAE) screening. The newborns showed no high risk register (HRR) factors associated with hearing loss. The tympanogram type and AR status were recorded. Results 174 newborns (340 cars) were tested. The AR present rates at 226 Hz and 1 000 Hz were 29. 71% and 65. 29% , respectively, showing statistically significant difference between them (P展开▼
