高职英语应该分为基础英语教学阶段和行业英语教学阶段。基础英语教学阶段课程是高职学生必修的一门公共基础课程,属于通用能力课程。高职公共英语教材建设应该有一套完善的编写、出版、使用、评估机制,以便打造出高职公共英语精品教材,确保优质教材进课堂,使高职学生受益。%General English teaching in higher vocational education is to be divided into two periods： general English and ESP periods. General English is a required course for all higher vocational students, as it is to cultivate students＇ universal ability. We should design a mechanism for compiling, publishing, using and assessing general English textbooks so that we will be able to compile and publish excellence general English textbooks to benefit higher vocational students, who will have good quality textbooks to use in class.
