基于学生中心论的英语阅读课程改革初探

         

摘要

对广州某独立院校的80名商务英语专业学生进行了教学改革的相关实验,探讨了阅读焦虑、阅读效果和阅读教学模式三者间的关系。将实验班和对照班在学期初和学期末进行阅读焦虑调查和阅读测试所得的结果进行比较,发现英语阅读焦虑普遍存在于英语学习中,并与学生的英语阅读水平呈负相关;以学生为中心的教学模式对于降低学生的阅读焦虑感有较为明显的效果,能够提升学生的阅读水平,尤其是对做识认题的水平有明显的提升作用。在英语阅读教学过程中,应转变教师为中心的现状,使学生成为学习的主人,从而有效消除阅读焦虑,提高教学效果。%A teaching reform experiment was conducted among 80 business English major students in an independent college of Guangzhou on correlations among English reading apprehension ,reading perform-ance and teaching mode of English reading .By comparing results from two surveys and two reading tests conducted at the beginning and the end of a term for experimental class and control class respectively ,it found that English reading apprehension is universal in English learning process and it is negatively relat -ed to English reading performance .Moreover , learner-centered teaching mode is conducive to reducing reading apprehension .By adopting this mode , students′reading performance improves , particularly for questions of recognition .In English reading class ,it was suggested to change from teacher-centered situa-tion to learner-centered situation so as to effectively reduce students′reading apprehension and improve teaching and learning effects .
