词汇是语言学习的基石，在语言构建和实际应用中起着十分重要的作用。为了能够在教学中有实质性的提高和改善，就要突出它在外语教学中的独特作用。目前，大部分大学英语教师在词汇教学方面仅仅是照本宣科，没有帮助学生真正了解目标词汇在现实生活中如何运用，所以，尽管许多学生经过了多年的努力，依然不能熟练使用该语言。本文重点探讨大学英语的词汇教学以及意义扩展方法，以期学生能对英语有一个较为扎实、良好的掌握。%Vocabulary is the building blocks of a language, which is quite important in language constuction and practice. So, English vocabulary teaching in colleges undoubtedly plays a critical role for the sake of real improvement in this language. But, now the situation is that most colleges teachers just try to tell the students what have shown in the textbooks rather than help them to know more about how to use the words in real life. As a result, many students cannot use the languague to express themselves in spite of their endless effors in it. So, here is try to discuss some methods in college vacabulary teaching in order to enable students to have a better mastery of the target languague.
