阳离子含氟核壳苯丙乳液聚合的制备和表征

         

摘要

采用种子乳液聚合法制备阳离子核壳含氟苯丙乳液,对影响乳液聚合反应稳定性的主要因素进行探讨和优化;通过红外光谱(FT-IR)、透射电镜(TEM)和X射线光电子能谱(XPS)表征共聚物的化学组成、乳胶粒的形貌以及共聚物表面化学元素、并以热重分析(TGA)和水接触角(WCA)测试乳液涂膜性能.结果表明;采用CTAB(十六烷基三甲基溴化胺)与OP-10(辛烷基酚聚氧乙烯醚)质量比1:1的复合乳化剂体系,用量[CTAB+OP- 10(1:l)]=l.5%(wt)单体:引发剂AIBA(偶氮二异丁脒盐酸盐)用量[1]=0.6%(wt)单体、聚合温度T=70℃、交联单体N-MA(N-羟甲基丙烯酰胺)和DAP(邻苯二甲酸二丙烯酯)的用量分别为[N-MA]=3.0%(wt)和[DAP]=1.5%(wt)总单体时,可以得到稳定无凝胶的阳离子含氟苯丙乳液.FT-IR测试结果证明氟单体参与共聚,TEM和XPS表征结果证明乳胶粒形成核壳结构,并且氟元素在乳液成膜过程中容易迁移到涂膜表面并富集.当含氟单体用量为8.0%(州)时,乳液涂膜具有优良的疏水性、耐酸碱性和耐热性.%Cationic fluorinated poly-styrene-acrylate (PSA) latex particles with core-shell structure was prepared by seeded semi-continuous emulsion polymerization. Effects of emulsifier, initiator dosage, amount of crosslinking agent and reaction temperature on the stability of emulsion polymerization were studied and optimized. The chemical components of copolymer, micro-morphology of latex particles and surface chemical composition of latex film were characterized by FT-IR, TEM and XPS, respectively. Water resistance, anti-acid/alkaline properties and thermal stability of the latex film were tested by WCA (Water contact angle) and TGA (Thermal gravity analysis) study. The results show that the stable cationic emulsion can be obtained when the experiment conditions are as follows: [CTAB+OP-10(1:1)] =1.5%(wt), [I] = 0.6%(wt), T= 70℃, [N-MA] = 3.0%(wt), PAP] =1.5%(wt). FT-IR spectra analysis confirms that the fluorine monomer can be introduced into the latex particles through emulsion polymerization. TEM observation identifies the formation of the core-shell structure particles. XPS study further indicates that the fluorine groups have a tendency of migrating to the film-air surface. Water contact angle, chemical resistance test and TGA study show that the core-shell fluorinated PSA latex films with 8.0%(wt) of fluorine monomer content exhibit excellent properties of water repellency, chemical resistance and thermal stability..
