The European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) was aimed at improving the infrastructure and operations of rolling stock, thus achieving compatibility of railway equipment in the European countries. Because of the financial pressure, the regional management system (ERTMS-Regional) , a cost-efficient system, was urgently needed and correspondingly produced. In this paper, the background, function, principle, development and application of the ERTMS-Regional are introduced, and the suggestion for the Chinese railway industry to benefit from the ERTMS-Regional System is put forward so as to meet the demands of rapid development of Chinese railways.%欧洲铁路运输管理系统(ERTMS)的目的是改善基础设施和机车车辆运营状况,实现欧洲各国铁路运输设备的技术和运营兼容.由于系统转化过程中基础设备带来的财政压力,一种以节约成本为目的的区域铁路运营管理系统-ERTMS-Regional应运而生.本文就ERTMS-Regional的背景、功能原理以及发展应用进行叙述,为适应中国铁路快速发展的需要,建议适当吸收ERTMS-Regional系统有益的经验.
