It reflects the journal quality judged byrnacademic community members historically, as well as demonstrates scholars' quality expectations of journal in the future.rnThe model of impact factors for journal status based on the Social Space Theory and Capital Theory was proposed andrnverified by structured questionnaire. The study finds that journal status is highly based on social capital and symbol capital,rnand social capital has significant influence on symbol capital. Thus, social capital is the main factor and source of journalrnstatus.
