In the Tang dynasty,there are many famous poets and their famous poems with seven characters to a line,especially in the flourishing Tang dynasty.Making a general survey of the Tang dynasty,it’s not difficult for us to find that poems with seven characters to a line can’t breakthrough these styles of creating poetry such as an-swering ,exchanging ,expressing feelings,bidding farewell ,visiting ,inscribing,traveling ,climbing mountains , missing and so on.Carefully inquiring the development of these poems,it’s obvious that poems with seven charac-ters to a line prevailed in the early Tang dynasty while in the late Tang dynasty the poems are supplement to the po-etry in the middle Tang dynasty.%唐代七律，名篇众多，名家辈出，尤以盛唐为最。综观有唐一代，七律不外应、和、寄、酬、送、别、访、题、行、登、怀诸体制。细究唐朝七律诗发展，可观盛之于初，乃开继之势；晚之于中，则补而非拆。
