Glucocorticoids , a kind of steroid hormones , are known for its potent anti-inflammatory and immunoreg-ulatory effects .Glucocorticoids have been widely used to suppress inflammatory process and to treat many autoimmune dis -orders.The use of glucocorticoids in orbital diseases mainly centers on the treatment for thyroid ophthalmopathy , orbital pseudotumor , and benign lymphoepithelial lesion of lacrimal glands .We reviewed the progress in researches regarding the application of glucocorticoids in orbital diseases .%糖皮质激素是类固醇激素的一种，具有强大的抗炎和免疫调节的作用，已广泛应用于临床多种炎症和免疫性疾病的治疗中。糖皮质激素在眼眶病中的应用主要体现在眼眶炎症和免疫相关性疾病如甲状腺相关眼病、特发性眼眶炎性假瘤和泪腺良性淋巴上皮病变等的治疗上。对糖皮质激素在眼眶病的应用及研究进展进行综述。
