Along with the development of Knowledge-based Economy, professional degree postgraduates came into being as times require, and have seen rapid growth, while traditional academic degree postgraduates seem to be out of date, and the orientation of cultivation mode and the students’ self-awareness became somewhat vague, which affects the quality of postgraduates. The present paper, taking Foreign Languages and Literatures as an example, aims to make a survey on the present situation of and the problems in the cultivation of academic degree postgraduates, and analyze the issue of student source variation and cultivating environment restriction. It is stated in the paper that the key to the improvement of talent cultivation quality is correct learning style, healthy mind and diligence in study, and the academic potential for candidates is equally important; as for academic degree postgraduates, the elite status should be highlighted, the academic orientation should be specified, and the cultivation mode should be optimized.%内容题随着知识经济的发展，专业学位研究生应运而生、且发展迅速，而传统的学术型研究生似乎被认为过时，其培养模式的定位和学生的自我认知都变得有些模糊，培养质量受到影响。本文以外国语言文学专业学术型研究生为例，从其培养的现状与问题入手进行调查，分析学术型研究生生源变化问题、培养的环境制约问题，指出提高培养质量的关键是端正的学风、健康的思想和肯钻研的精神，但有学术潜力的生源也是十分重要的；学术型研究生的精英地位应强化，学术定位应该明确，培养模式应该优化。
