Why wasn’t it a taboo to mention Cao Xueqin’s family in the first 80 chapters of A Dream in Red Mansions? In the autumn of the 22nd Year of Emperor Qianlong, Cao Xueqin began his writing. Fu Cha Mingyi, a poet in Qing Dynasty, declared in his poem Ti Hong Loumeng that Cao xueqin was the original author of A Dream in Red Mansions, but not that of The Story of the Stone.
