Based on the introduction of basic content and research method,this paper analyzes the polysemy from the cognitive perspective and discusses the internal sense relations between literal meaning and extended meaning and the cognitive mechanism. It is found that cognitive semantics provides an effective method for analyzing lexical seman-teme and semantic change.%本文介绍了认知语义学的基本内容和研究方法，然后从认知的视角分析多义现象，讨论了多义词本义和延伸义之间的关系以及形成多义现象的认知机制。分析表明：作为词汇语义学发展的新阶段，认知语义学能为分析词汇语义及其发展变化提供较有效的方法。
