However vocational education should emphasize more on the practical ability in work. English, which is the tool for vocational college graduate, should be taught in accordance with the career ability. The paper focuses on the English language ability development of the professional college students. It states that the language teaching should be combined with the language requirements of the students' and the career in the future.
