随着经济全球化以及中国对外贸易的迅猛发展，商务话语研究，特别是商务英语信函研究受到了越来越多的重视。首先对前人的语言选择观进行总结，在此基础上，选择真实的商务英语信函作为语料，从目的原则的视角对其中的选择现象进行研究。研究结果表明商务英语信函中的选择具有目的性、策略性、变化性等特点；选择是一个由信函目的驱动的过程，目的是驱动选择行为的动力；目的又是进行正确选择的依据，并且贯穿于选择的始终。%With the globalization of economy and the rapid development of foreign trade in China,re-searches on business discourse,especially on business English correspondences have been highlighted. Based on previous studies of language choices,this paper analyzes the choices in authentic business Eng-lish correspondences from the perspective of goal principle.The results show that the choices in business English correspondences are goal-oriented,strategic and variable and the goals of business English cor-respondences,which run through the whole procedure of choice,are both the driving force and basis of choices.
