By resorting to parallel research method,this paper studies from the characters of the her-oine Becky sharp,in the Vanity Fairy written by British writer Thackeray and the heroine Scarlett from Gone with the Wind written by American writer Margaret Mitchell respectively and then carries on a comparative analysis between the two heroines in an all round and in depth way including heroines’ lives,their personality,their characteristics,the writers'living background and creative intention,in or-der to discuss the similarities and differences between the heroines.%运用平行研究的方法，从人物形象方面入手，分别对英国作家萨克雷《名利场》中女主角蓓基·夏泼和美国作家玛格丽特·米切尔《飘》中女主角思嘉进行了全方位的剖析和比较，深入分析了两位女主人公的人生轨迹、性格特点和两位作家的生活背景、创作意图等，探讨了两位女性艺术形象的异同及其成因。
