讨论了Ellis的第二语言习得理论运用于中国公共外语教学,证明更好了解和灵活应用这一理论有助于中国的第二语言教学,而且在教学中应引入文化分析方法.%Through a discussion of possible application of Ellis' Second Language Acquisition (SLA) Theory to the teaching of non-English majors at college level in China, this article concludes that a better understanding and a flexible use of this theory will be of great help to the teaching ofa second language in China, and the culturally-oriented analysis approach should also be adopted to improve our teaching.
