He was the same age as Su Shi’s eldest son, Su Mai. After Li Zhi’s parents died when he was only six years old, Su Shi took great care of him and had high expectations for his great fame and moral respon-sibility. Although Li Zhi was very talented, he had been suffering an uneven career for a long time. In the lowest point of Li Zhi’s career, Su Shi tried his best to help him but never lost his essential principles and basic bottom line.
