Wright Mills was a remarkable American sociologist in mid 1950s. In the past half centu-ry, studies of Mills’s thoughts in academic field mainly lay in the practice of his methodology“the sociologi-cal imagination”, the analysis of social stratification and power structure, and the influence of his radical po-litical thought on the New Left and the third world countries’ revolution for independence. As the subplot of Mills’s thought, the topic of “Intellectuals” not only provided a very important clue to study his thoughts system but also provided a solid theoretic basis for later scholars to study intellectuals. Although there had some studies about his thought on“intellectuals”, the systematic and deep studies are further needed.
