The waterfront landscape is what all modern cities compete to build in the process of modern urban development. In particular,those emerging second - tier cities endowed with rich water resource take it a top prior-ity building waterfront landscape. This paper presents a number of regularities and characteristics of modern urban waterfront landscape design,after a general comparative study and analysis of the design of current urban waterfront landscape and a case study of a successful waterfront landscape design.%滨水景观设计是现代城市发展过程中争相打造的重点，特别是那些水资源丰富、新兴发展中的二线城市，更是把滨水景观设计列为重中之重。文章通过对现代城市滨水景观设计的总体研究比较与分析，再结合具有代表性城市滨水景观设计的成功案例，得出现代城市滨水景观设计的一些规律和特点。
