Objective To explore the short-term efficacy and safety of propranolol hydrochlo-ride in the treatment of hepatic cirrhosis patients with portal hypertension.Methods A total of 51 hepatic cirrhosis patients with portal hypertension were treated with oral propranolol hydro-chloride 3 times per day for 2 weeks.The dose of propranolol hydrochloride was initiated at 10 mg per time,and then adjusted according to the changes in blood pressure and heart rate.In addition, blood pressure,heart rate,diameter of portal vein(DPV),blood velocity of portal vein(VPV), blood quantity of portal vein(QPV),diameter of splenic vein(DSV),blood velocity of splenic vein (VSV),blood quantity of splenic vein(QSV),hepatic venous pressure gradient(HVPG),free he-patic venous pressure(FHVP)and wedged hepatic venous pressure(WHVP)were measured be-fore and after treatment.Results The blood pressure,heart rate,HVPG,DPV,VPV,QPV,VSV and QSV significantly decreased after treatment(P <0.05).The other indexes also decreased after treatment,but the decrease was not significant(P >0.05).Among the 51 patients,2 patients had dizziness and 1 patient had postural hypotension during treatment.No patients had liver and kid-ney failure,electrolyte abnormalities and other serious adverse reactions.Conclusion As a safe and effective non-selectiveβ-blocker,propranolol hydrochloride can reduce HVPG and QPV in he-patic cirrhosis patients with portal hypertension.%目的：探讨普萘洛尔治疗肝硬化门静脉高压的近期疗效与安全性。方法对51例肝硬化门静脉高压患者采用口服普萘洛尔治疗，起始剂量为10 mg·次-1，3次·d-1，之后根据患者血压、心率变化情况调整普萘洛尔的剂量，治疗2周。比较患者治疗前后血压，心率，门静脉内径（DPV）、最大血流速度（VPV）与血流量（QPV），脾静脉内径（DSV）、最大血流速度（VSV）与血流量（QSV），肝静脉压力梯度（HVPG）、肝静脉自由压（FHVP）、肝静脉楔入压（WHVP）等指标的变化。结果患者治疗后血压、心率、HVPG、DPV、VPV、QPV、VSV、QSV 与治疗前比较均显著降低（P ＜0．05），其余指标较治疗前稍有降低，但差异无统计学意义（P ＞0．05）。51例患者治疗过程中2例出现头晕，1例出现体位性低血压，未发现肝肾功能衰竭、电解质异常等严重不良反应。结论普萘洛尔是安全有效的非选择性β受体阻滞剂，可有效降低门静脉高压症患者的肝静脉压力梯度，降低门静脉血流，且安全性高。
