明末清初，西方大多数国家已完成了文艺复兴运动、宗教改革运动，现代科学技术已初现端倪，而中国正走向封建社会的末期。在此背景下，西方科技文化以耶稣会士传教活动为媒介大量涌入我国，形成中西文化的一次碰撞与交流。明末清初的“西学东渐”开阔了国人的视野，丰富了我国工艺美术的种类，但并没有从根本上影响我国设计文化的艺术风貌。%Feudal society was terminated at the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, while most Western countries had completed the Renaissance, religious reforms and modern technology began to appear. Under this back⁃ground, Western technology and culture flooded into China and therefore another crash and communication between Western and Chinese cultures formed by means of media of Society of Jesus’s missionary activities. This paper analy⁃ses the Western influence on Chinese designing and points out that this Western learning influence on China has wid⁃ened Chinese people’s vision, and enriched the classes of designing arts in China, but it hasn’t influenced Chinese ob⁃ject designing culture.
