一种机载气象雷达湍流信号的检测方法及仿真

         

摘要

In order to accurately detect the turbulence signals of an airborne weather radar, we use the Welch method to process its turbulence signals.We establish the wind field simulation model and define the turbulence scale and turbulence intensity.Then we use the wind field simulation model to establish the turbulence echo signal model and then use the Welch method to estimate the velocity spectrum and spectral width of turbulence signals.Fi-nally we use a certain threshold to determine that the airborne target, whose spectral width exceeds the threshold, is a turbulence target and display its full-screen scan results.The simulation results, given in Figs.3 through 10, and their analysis show preliminarily that:( 1) our new method can accurately estimate the distribution of wind speed in the turbulence echo signals;( 2) our new method preserves more spectral characteristics and has better spectral res-olution than the conventional fast Fourier transform, thus meeting the requirements for detecting turbulence targets of an airborne weather radar.%为了提高机载气象雷达检测湍流信号的准确性,提出了一种湍流信号处理的新方法———Welch法。首先建立了满足湍流特性的仿真风场模型,定义了湍流场中湍流尺度和强度等参数,然后利用仿真风场模型建立湍流的雷达回波模型。采用功率谱估计技术中的Welch法估计湍流的速度谱和谱宽。最后通过门限判决,谱宽超出门限的对气象目标将被视为湍流目标,并显示全屏扫描结果。仿真结果表明,该方法能够准确估计出湍流回波信号中的风速分布,且与传统傅里叶变换( fast Fourier transform, FFT)法相比,新算法具有更高的谱分辨率并能保留更多的谱特征,可以满足机载雷达对湍流目标检测的要求。
