Chinese engineers used to consider product design quality control separately from manufacturing quality control. In order to obtain the optimal quality control, we deem it necessary to consider their interaction.rn Quality function deployment (QFD) and statistical process control (SPC) are important quality control tools used in product design and manufacturing respectively. QFD gives SPC the requirements for manufacturing quality control that include the size of sample, the methods of sampling, and the monitoring of processes and equipment.
