The sixth patriarch Hui-neng promoted Buddhism in Shaozhou for 40 years and expatiated on Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch in Dafan Temple and Baolin Temple of Shaozhou.In its spreading process of more than one thousand years,the version of the Sutra evolved several times,it had been appended,deleted and revised.But overall,its content showed the trend of increasing.The value of the Sutra cannot be denied though there are different versions,because different versions reflected the development state of Chan sect at different times.%惠能在韶州弘法40年,在韶州大梵寺和曹溪宝林寺演绎了《六祖坛经》。在一千多年的传播过程中,《坛经》版本几经演变,不断添加、删减和改窜。但整体上,内容有逐步增加的趋势。虽然《坛经》有不同版本,但它的价值都是不可否定的。不同的《坛经》版本反映了禅宗思想在不同时代的发展状况。
