Learners’ metacognitive self-monitoring refers to the monitoring of his/her performance of learning a foreign language. Based on the current condition of college English teaching in Shaoxing University in the network multimedia environment, the present paper, within the framework of the metacognition theory, presents a self-monitoring model of college English learning from the per-spective of instructional design, cognitive instrument and self-monitoring strategy training and explores the new approaches to put-ting it into practice in order to help students regulate their own learning activities effectively and improve their self-monitoring in college English learning.%在外语学习过程中,学习者的自我监控是指学习语言时的自我调控。文章以元认知理论为指导,以绍兴文理学院大学英语网络多媒体教学实践为例,提出了从教学设计、元认知工具到学习自我监控策略三位一体的英语学习自我监控能力培养模式、构建思路和具体实施途径,以帮助学生有效调整和控制学习行为,培养和提高其英语学习的自我监控能力。
