阅读理解是英语教学的重点。文章通过对英语阅读理解特点和中学英语阅读理解教学现状分析，提出了英语阅读理解教学和学生阅读理解能力培养的策略。% Reading comprehension is very important in English teaching .Based on the analysis of the charac -teristics of reading comprehension and the present situation of reading comprehension teaching in middle schools, this article put forward some strategies of how to improve the teaching and learning of English reading comprehension.
