As a special group among university teachers in Urumqi , foreign language teachers have the follow-ing major characteristics: being multi -ethnic and young, being assigned to heavy teaching duty and academic load, and being charged with the mission of cultivating high -quality talents for higher education .This study was undertaken to probe into the sources and causes of psychological stress among this group and give counsels to relieve their stress.% 高校外语教师是高校中的一个重要群体，近年来呈现出多民族构成、年轻化的特点，他们的教学任务繁重，科研压力大，在高等教育中担负着高质量人才培养的重任。文章旨在探究这个群体心理压力的来源及压力产生的原因，进而提出如何缓解其心理压力的建议。
