Objective:To investigate the species and distribution of medical and ornamental plants of wild melastomataceae in Hunan province. Methods:Species, medicinal uses, and ornamental uses of wild melastomataceae in Hunan province were investigated by on spot of field survey and literature searching. Results:There are 20 species of wild plants of melastomataceae in Hunan province were used for TCM, which had high medical and ornamental value. Conclusion:Hunan wild melastomataceae plants not only contain med-icinal value, but also rich natural resources, which can be utilized for a bright future. Simultaneously, they provide scientific basis for increasing the development effort to medical and ornamental plants of wild melastomataceae.%研究湖南省野生野牡丹科药用植物种类及分布。实地调查和文献查证相结合研究湖南省野牡丹科植物的种类、药用价值和观赏价值。湖南省野牡丹科药用植物共有20种，具有较高的药用价值和观赏价值。湖南省野牡丹科植物不仅有确切的药用价值，且资源丰富，开发利用前景光明，也为加大野牡丹科药用观赏植物资源的开发力度提供科学依据。
