The article holds that the determination of the formation,transcribing,time and place of buri-al of the excavated text,as well as text replication,is of vital significance for the selection and application of texts in researching the history of the Chinese language. The paper also points out that excavated texts from different periods and of different types exhibit different data value. Not all"excavated texts"are"simultane-ous data". The article suggests that the study of the history of the Chinese language should focus on the study of the characteristics and attributes of the excavated texts, in order to avoid falling into the"new material trap"in the use of excavated texts as the corpus.%出土文献形成、抄写、埋藏时代和地域以及文本流传转抄情况的确定,对汉语史研究语料的选择和运用具有决定性意义;不同时期和类型的出土文献其语料价值是有差异的,"出土文献"并非都相当于"同时资料".汉语史研究在运用出土文献作为语料时,要重视对出土文献的特点和属性的研究,以避免落入"新材料陷阱".
