Theoretical analysis on suitable raw coal sizes for briquettesand experimental study on the relation between raw coal sizes and briquette strength have been carried out. Law of the suitable raw coal size resulting from the experiments is consistent with that resulting from theoretical analysis. The ratio of varied coal particles obtained from experiments is not completely consistent with that obtained from theoretical analysis because coal particles are not regular and their sizes are not identical. In production the ratio of suitable raw coal sizes for briquettes must be determined by experiments.%采用理论分析方法对合理原料煤级配进行了分析，并对原料煤级配与型煤强度的关系进行了实验研究。实验所得合理原料煤级配的规律性与理论分析是一致的，但由于原料煤颗粒的不规则性和各级粒度的不均一性，各级粒度组成比例与理论分析结论有一定的差距。在生产实践中，应根据煤种、粘结剂等因素，通过实验来确定合理的原料煤级配。
