很多掌握多种语言的人(包括同一语言种类里的不同方言,例如汉语里的普通话、地方方言包括粤语、河南方言等)会根据特定社会场合与环境,选择适合的语言来进行交流.本篇文章在以河南省滑县为例,分析人们在选择使用普通话和选择滑县方言时,会受到哪些社会因素的影响.文章发现对话人、交谈场合、交谈双方的社会地位和身份、交谈的话题、以及不同年龄的人们对待方言的态度都会影响人们决定选择哪一种语言(方言)作为交流工具.
