The commonly used methods for inventory control were introduced. Using inventory optimization principle, the inventory status of particular packaging lubricating oil in a oil depot for a certain period were studied and analyzed. The inventory of packaging lubricating oil was optimized with remarkable effect. It was pointed out that inventory optimization principle was also applicable to the non-oil business.%介绍了库存控制的常用方法，运用库存优化原理，对某油库一典型包装润滑油在一段时间内的库存现状进行研究分析，而且进行了库存优化，效果显著，并指出库存优化原理在非油品业务中同样适用。
