冲突适应的性别差异

         

摘要

在认知控制领域中,冲突适应指由冲突所诱发的行为的提升,它反映了人类对冲突所进行的连续调整。为了考察冲突适应的性别差异,本研究记录了56个大学生(男女各半)在完成多源干扰任务时的行为数据。反应时结果显示,女性的整体干扰效应以及在 Flanker 和 Flanker-Simon 条件下的干扰效应都显著小于男性;女性在 Flanker-Simon 条件下的冲突适应明显大于男性。因此,本研究揭示,女性能有效地控制冲突,并更适应高冲突情景。%Sequential multiple sources of interference information can potently conflict with our goal-directed behavior. The present study is designed to investigate the gender difference in conflict adaptation by using the multi-source in-terference task (MSIT). The behavioral data were recorded from 56 Chinese undergraduates (28 females) during performance of the MSIT. The response time (RT) results revealed that females (compared with males) showed sig-nificantly smaller interference effects overall, especially in the Flanker and the Flanker-Simon conditions; Impor-tantly, gender difference in conflict adaptation were marked in the Flanker-Simon condition. In addition, the error rate data did not show any gender difference. Thus, gender difference in conflict adaptation can explain the present results, for example, females can effectively control the behavioral conflict, and adapt to the high-conflict context.
