The genus Hemerocallis is a kind of perennial herbaceous plants of Liliaceae and consists of about 15 species in the world,11 of which can be found in China.Some species of this genus are widely cultivated for medicinal,edible and ornamental application.Research on chemical composition and function of plants of Hemerocallis has made certain progress.Previous phytochemical studies on plants of Hemerocallis have demonstrated the presence of flavonoids,anthraquinones,alkaloids,terpenoids,triterpenes and triterpenoid saponins,caffeoylquinic acid derivatives,naphthalene glycosides,steroid and steroidal saponins,phenylethanoid glycosides,and lignans.Furthermore,many pharmacological activities of the genus such as sedative hypnotic,antidepressant,antioxidant,anti-tumor,hepatoprotective,antibacterial and insecticidal activities have been reported.In this article,new development of constituent and biological activities of Hemerocallis genus is reviewed and summarized for its further development and utilization.%萱草属HemerocallisL系百合科Liliaceae多年生草本植物,全球约15种,我国有11种,有些种类被广泛栽培,供药用、食用和观赏.萱草属植物在化学成分与功能研究方面已取得一定的进展,迄今为止,从这些植物中分离并鉴定了黄酮类、蒽醌类、生物碱、萜类、三萜及其苷类、咖啡酰奎宁酸衍生物、萘苷类、甾体及其苷类、苯乙醇苷类、木脂素类等多种类型的化合物.功能活性主要表现在镇静催眠、抗抑郁、抗氧化、抗肿瘤、保肝、抗菌杀虫等方面.萱草属植物化学成分种类多样,结构类型丰富,同时具有多种显著的功能活性,值得进一步研究.
