Design foundation, as an introductory course for land-scape architecture majors, plays an important role in the cultiva-tion of landscape architecture majors. In accordance with the cultivation requirements of applied talents, and combined with the current situation of design foundation course for landscape architecture majors, this paper proposes a unified and coherent leading thought for teaching. By adjusting teaching contents, re-forming teaching methods, cultivating learning interest, and en-hancing interaction and communication, this paper stimulates students' learning enthusiasm, and lays a professional basis for the cultivation of applied talents.%设计基础是风景园林专业的入门课程，在风景园林专业的培养计划中占有重要的地位。本文依据应用型人才的培养要求，结合风景园林设计基础课程的现状，提出统一、连贯的教学主导思想；通过调整教学内容，改革教学方法，培养学习兴趣，增加互动交流等方式，调动学生的学习积极性，为培养应用型人才奠定良好的专业基础。
