Higher vocational education plays an important role in the development of regional economy. The main task of higher vocational colleges in central Jiangsu area is to cultivate high quality skilled talents, so as to meet the need of economic devel-opment in central Jiangsu area.Starting from economic distribu-tion in central Jiangsu area and its need of talents, based on the differences between talents cultivated in higher vocational col-leges and the development of regional economy, this paper pro-poses corresponding countermeasures.% 高职教育对区域经济发展起着重要的作用。苏中地区高职院校的主要任务是为苏中培养高素质技术型人才，最大限度地满足苏中经济发展的需要。从苏中区域经济分布及其对人才的需求出发，针对高职院校培养的人才与区域经济发展的差异，提出相应的对策。
