Solar radiation is a renewable energy source that can be used for heating. For most buildings in cold and moderate climates, the optimal glass ratio and proper orientation are very important. This has not been extensively analyzed in the scientific literature on wood construction. This paper analyzes the specific locations of Jinan and Lanzhou by studying the shape of box-shaped buildings with parameter changes, the size of various glass and their location in the north-south fa? ade. The impact of building forms on energy demand and the impact of the parameters on energy demand are analyzed in detail. The influence of building patterns on the energy consumption of wood-framed glass buildings in cold climate regions is explored. It is hoped that the promotion of glass buildings in cold climate regions will be promoted.
