External knowledge network play a key role in design innovation ,while meaning innovation processes creates the design value .With a review on embeddedness theory ,study theory and design‐driven innovation ,this study presents a conceptual model ,which can be summarized as a path of three steps :from the external knowledge network embeddedness to the study model choice ,and finally ,to the meaning innovation capability .Selecting 219 design intensive firms as re‐search data source ,the study suggests that the structure embeddedness and the cognition embeddedness influence meaning innovation capabilities through problem‐driven study ,and the relation embeddedness influence meaning innovation capabil‐ities through solution‐driven study .%外部知识网络对设计创新具有关键的支撑作用，意义创新则是设计价值实现的核心过程。以设计密集型企业为研究对象，综合运用嵌入性理论、学习理论、设计驱动式创新等理论，提出了外部知识网络嵌入性通过问题驱动／方案驱动二元设计学习这一中介变量影响意义创新能力的机制模型，并以219家企业为数据样本，对相关假设进行了实证检验。研究表明，结构嵌入性和认知嵌入性通过问题驱动型学习影响意义创新能力；关系嵌入性通过方案驱动型学习影响意义创新能力。
