The decomposition reaction and mechanism of abietie acid with the purity 99.32% was tested by thermogravimetric analysis (TG) , differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thcrmogravimetric analyzer coupled to a quadrupole mass spectrometer( TG-MS) . The thermal decomposition activation energy of abietic acid at 20% (TG), 40% (TG) , 60% (TG) were 12.76, 12.96, 11.81 kJ·mol-1, respectively. The results of TG-MS showed that there are micromolecules, whose m/z are between 40 to 90 when decomposed after 362. 2 ℃ , which proved that the decomposition process of abietic acid is first off isopropyl, carboxyl, and then open-ring. The fusion heal, heat of gasification, heat capacity of solid state, liquid stale and phase change form solid to liquid were 49.3 J·g-1, 2 096.4 J·g-1, 1.469 J·g-1K-1 , 1. 163 J·g-1K-1 and 4.769 J·g-1K-1 , respectively.%使用纯度99.32%的环状二萜化合物枞酸样品,通过TG,DCS,TG-MS研究枞酸的热分解反应和反应机制,得到其热分解反应的活化能Ea在质量损失20%,40%,60%时分别为12.76,12.96,11.81 kJ·mol-1,从362.2℃开始开环分解、气化,气化热△H为2096.4 J·g-1,分解质量损失的主要物质为m/z 40 ~ 90的小分子,分解反应过程首先是脱去异丙基、羧基,然后开环分解,枞酸受热的相变过程中融熔热△H为49.3 J·g-1,固态比热容均值是1.469 J·g-1K-1,液态为1.463 J·g-1K-1,由固体变液体的相变比热容是4.769 J·g-1K-1
