Variety ' taishanyulian' is derived from an individual tree with natural drooping branches found in a Ginkgo germplasm resource garden, after grafting propagation experiment. The leaves have two types: one is a herringbone blade with a deep crack that reaches to vane base or near base; another kind of blade with a shallow or very shallow crack, narrow blade, fan-shaped or semiorbicular, leaf margin wavy or toothed shaped short crack. Female plants, female cone has a long stalk, stem distal end has 1-2 disk-shaped beads, each bead 1 ovule that develops into a seed. Seed is drupelike, kernel (I. E. Ginkgo) smaller, exocarp fleshy, with white powders. From October to November when fruits ripe, with yellow or orange color, smell.
