Two new processes of synthesizing phenyl benzoate were studied, the first method was used by benzoic acid and phenol on the condition of trichlorophosphine, yield of product 90%, The yield of the second method was 85% on the condition of catalyzing by polyphosphoric acid, by contrasting with two methods, It was not only high quality but also high yield on the condition of benzoic acid;but it was not only few pollution but also high yield and simpleness on the condition of catalyzing by polyphosphoric acid.%通过两种方法合成了苯甲酸苯酯，用苯甲酸与苯酚在三氯化磷的作用下合成苯甲酸苯酯，产率：90％；用苯甲酸与苯酚在多聚磷酸的催化作用下合成苯甲酸苯酯，产率：85％。两种方法比较：用三氯化磷反应，产品质量好，产率高；用PPA作催化剂反应，污染小，后处理简单，产率较高。
