明朝抗倭名将俞大猷，在戎马倥偬之余，亲自探访了少林寺。这次探访对与少林寺和俞大猷来说是双赢互利，意义颇具。通过少林棍和俞家棍的交流，印证了俞家棍的价值，指出了少林棍的缺失；探访后，少林武僧精英进入俞家军，为“少林真诀”回传做了准备；少林武僧的从军，使俞家军提高了声誉，增强了战斗力；俞大猷通过探访“认祖归宗”，提高了少林寺的声誉和地位：俞大猷提议建造十方禅院，并为之选址、题写碑记，促进了少林丛林的发展。整体来看，俞大猷探访少林寺，意义重大，影响深远。%YU Da-you,a famous general in anti-Japanese pirates of Ming Dynasty,visited shaolin Temple personally. This visiting was a mutual benefit for both shaolin Temple and YU Da-you. Through the cudgel martial art communication between shaolin and Yu,the value of the Yu’s cudgel martial art was verified and the deficiency of shaolin cudgel martial art was indicated. After this visiting,the elite of shaolin Monks enrolled into the army of Yu,which was a preparation for the passing back of“shaolin knack”. The enrollment of shaolin monks also improved the reputation and combat effectiveness of Yu’s army. On the other side,Yu’s visiting also enhanced the reputation and status of shaolin Temple. YU Da-you proposed to build the Ten directions temple,and then selected its location,and inscribed inscriptional, which promoted the development of shaolin Temple. As a whole,the visiting of Yu Da-you to shaolin Temple was significant profoundly.
