The paper describes the basic structural forms of the ancient buildings in China,illustrates the roles of the components in the buildings including the abutment,room styles,and roof in the architectural buildings,structural stress and grade classification,and introduces the applica-tion of the mortise and tenon structure in wood buildings with the Wood Pagoda in Yingxian as the example.%简单描述了中国古建筑的基本结构形式，从建筑外形、结构受力以及等级划分等方面，阐述了台基、屋身、屋顶等构件在古建筑中所起到的作用，最后以应县木塔为例，介绍了卯榫结构在全木建筑中的应用。
