The paper introduces the definitions and features of heavy metal. Starting from aspects of chemical sedimentation tank method,ion-ex-change method,adsorption method,membrane isolation method and photocatalysis technique,it describes common heavy metal wastewater pro-cessing methods,and analyzes their merits and defects and application scope,which has certain meaning for further studying heavy metal wastewater processing technique.%介绍了重金属的含义及特点，从化学沉淀法、离子交换法、吸附法、膜分离法、光催化技术五方面，阐述了重金属废水常用的处理方法，并分析了各种方法的优缺点及适用范围，对重金属废水处理技术的深入研发有一定的意义。
