Taking the reconstruction engineering of 10 000 ton hydraulic press workshop of Shanghai heavy machinery plant as an example, the paper carries out anti-seismic detection and identification of original workshop, and designs a structural unit scheme by integrating new structure with original structure. As a result, it solves the hard issue of setting column of new expansion column distance.
