Objective To analyze the features and significance of auditory brainstem responses (ABR) in sudden deafness (SD).Method All the patients (64 ears) were divided into two groups:one group′s course is shorter than 3 months (group A),the other′s is longer than 3 months (including 3 months )(group B).There were 50 cases in group A,and 14 cases in group B.The appearance rate (AR),peak latency (PL) and interpeak latency (IPL) of ABR were compared and analysed between the two patient groups and between patient groups and control group.Result Appearance rates of wave Ⅰ,Ⅲ,Ⅴ of all patients are smaller than those of control group (33 ears).AR of wave Ⅰ is the smallest,AR of wave Ⅴ is the biggest.In group A,PL of wave Ⅲ,Ⅴ is longer significantly;in group B,PL of wave Ⅰ,Ⅲ,Ⅴ lengthens markedly.There aren′t obvious differences in appearance rates,PL,IPL between the two patient groups.Conclusion ABR detection is valuable to sudden deafness.%目的分析听性脑干反应(ABR)在突发性聋的特点及意义。方法按病程长短，将64耳突发性聋病人分为两组：3个月以内组(A组)50耳和3个月以上组(包括3个月者)(B组)14耳。将病例组间及病例组和正常对照组(33耳)间的ABR各波引出率、潜伏期(PL)及波间潜伏期(IPL)进行对比。结果病例组ABRⅠ、Ⅲ、Ⅴ波引出率显著低于对照组，病程越长，引出率越低，其中，Ⅰ波最低，Ⅴ波最高。A组，Ⅲ、Ⅴ波潜伏期显著延长。B组，Ⅰ、Ⅲ、Ⅴ波潜伏期均显著延长。病例组和对照组间IPL差异无显著性。两个病例组间PL、IPL及引出率差异均无显著性。结论 ABR检测对突发性聋有其应用价值。
