The optimal synthesis conditions were:n(Triethyl phosphate) '? N(dichlorobenzyl)=3. 0 : 1, at 140 ℃ for 6 h, using 1% catalyst of the mass. The yield under these conditions was up to 85%. Tetraethy 1, 4-phenylenebis (methylene) diphosphonate was characterized by ESI-MS, IR and 1H NMR. The thermal stability of tetraethyl, 4-phenylenebis (methylene) diphosphonate was researched by TGA.
