Construction and commissioning of Wylton Dazhou＇ s 800 kt/a sulphuric acid plant is described. The plant was designed to operate in a ＂3 ＋ 1＂ double-contact process with low-level heat recovery system （ MECS HRS） and ammonia tail-gas absorption system. After start-up, the plant operated well and every design target was met.
