论西方艺术哲学与艺术人类学间分歧及成因

         

摘要

As the world is fired with enthusiasm for research in anthropology of art, Western philos?ophy of art and anthropology of art has begun to show wide disagreements over such core issues as the scope of art research, the standards of art classification and the relationship between art experience and aesthetic experience. The two disciplines have disagreed with each other both because Western philosophy of art has been traditionally narrow and closed and because the two disciplines have used some key con?cepts in inconsistent contexts. In addition, both disciplines are trapped in a utilitarian or non-utilitarian binary mentality when dealing with artistic experience. Philosophy of art and anthropology of art should study the arts of all nationalities equally and oppose putting the so-called fine art above the so-called me?chanical art. The fallacy must be refuted that Western art is superior to non-Western art, which has been the result of wantonly applying Western centrism, linear evolution and ethnocentrism to study of non-Western art. We should consciously discriminate the contexts in which key concepts are used and study, in a complete and unified cultural system, the relationship between aesthetic factors and non-aesthetic factors in artistic experience.%随着艺术人类学研究全球化热潮的兴起,西方艺术哲学和艺术人类学逐渐在艺术研究的范畴、艺术划分的标准、艺术经验与审美经验的关系等核心问题上,产生了巨大的分歧.两门学科间之所以产生分歧,既因西方艺术哲学理论传统的狭隘和封闭,也因两门学科在不统一的语境下混用了某些关键概念.此外,两者在处理艺术经验时,皆陷入了功利或非功利的二元思维.艺术哲学和艺术人类学应平等地研究全球各民族的艺术,反对将所谓"美的艺术"凌驾于所谓"机械艺术"之上;应驳斥将西方中心主义、线性进化论和种族中心主义肆意运用到非西方艺术的研究中,进而误认为西方艺术优于非西方艺术的谬见;应自觉地辨析关键概念的使用语境;应在完整而统一的文化体系中,综合研究艺术经验中审美因素和非审美因素的关系.
