The teaching of ideological and political theory course is unique because of the regional and professional characteristics in medical schools in ethnic minority areas. The purpose of this paper is to explore the effective teaching reform of ideological and political theory courses in medical schools in ethnic minority areas. Based on the analysis of the present situation and problems in the teaching of ideological and political theory course in minority areas, the author holds that the topic-based teaching is more suitable for the reform of ideological and political theory courses in medical colleges and universities in ethnic minority areas, and analyzes the significance of thematic teaching.%少数民族地区的医学院校因其地域性、专业性等特点，思想政治理论课的教学也呈现出其独特性，本文旨在探索少数民族地区医学院校思想政治理论课教学改革的有效方法，通过对少数民族地区医学院校思想政治理论课现状、存在问题的分析，笔者认为专题式教学更适合少数民族地区医学院校思想政治理论课改革，并分析了开展专题式教学的意义。
